Bryan Danielson vs. Chris Jericho

Let’s start off the predictions with a difficult one, shall we? At first glance, you’d assume Bryan Danielson is an easy pick. Chris Jericho has zero business beating The American Dragon in a wrestling match. I don’t care about that ‘Lionheart’ tagline that Jericho has been using, but the ‘Last survivor of Stu Hart’s dungeon’ just lost to Jon Moxley using that nickname. Will Jericho really lose two big matches in a row?

I think the deciding factor here will be Daniel Garcia. He’s sort of been the topic of conversation surrounding this one, kind of like a Pro Wrestling versus Sports Entertainment custody of Daniel Garcia match. Garcia will probably officially turn on Jericho and join the Blackpool Combat Club after Danielson finishes the legend off.

Winner: Bryan Danielson

Wifey: Chris Jericho

I’m scared about this pick, however. Feels like a trap that everyone wants, but will get Jericho super heat when it doesn’t happen.

FTR/Wardlow vs. Lethal/Motor City Machine Guns

Let’s follow a difficult one with an easy one! This match is one of my favorites on the card because of the tag team legends in it. I cannot wait to see what FTR and the Motor City Machine Guns do inside of an AEW ring. That’s not even including what the conductor of the Powerbomb Symphony can do. Oh yeah, Jay Lethal is here too. He’s pretty good. Fairly simple prediction. Great match, but FTR & Wardlow pick up the victory.

Winner: FTR & Wardlow

Wifey: FTR & Wardlow

Jade Cargill vs. Athena

I think this one is fairly simple as well. Jade Cargill’s run as TBS Champion, while a fantastic display of her growth, has become very inconsistent and lacking in story. She’s one of my favorite talents in AEW, but I need more of her! She’s Powerhouse Hobbs’s level of Powerhouse and should be continuing her dominating run all of the time. What’s going to happen this Sunday as Athena is challenging her for the title?

From what I’ve read, this spot should have been Kris Statlanders. Unfortunately, Statlander tore her ACL and now Athena has taken her place. It looked like Stat was elevating to a level to defeat Jade, but I don’t think Athena is there yet. I’m picking Jade to continue her undefeated streak.

Winner: Jade Cargill

Wifey: Jade Cargill

Swerve in Our Glory vs. The Acclaimed

Up next is the AEW Tag Team Championship match between Swerve in Our Glory and The Acclaimed. Everyone loves the Acclaimed indeed, but I don’t think it’s time for them to get the belts just yet, if at all. ‘Platinum’ Max Caster and Anthony Bowens are one of the hottest tag teams right now, but I still think those AEW tag belts are reserved for FTR. A fantastic match between these two teams ends up in favor of Swerve and Keith Lee.

Winner: Swerve in Our Glory

Wifey: Swerve in Our Glory

I do have one thing stuck in the back of my mind about this one, however. Both Caster and Bowens are from the Jersey/New York area, which AEW is about to travel through ad nausem over the next month.

Casino Ladder Match: Wheeler Yuta, Dante Martin, Rey Fenix, Penta el Zero Miedo, Rush, Andrade el Idolo, Claudio Castagnoli, & Mystery Joker

Before I get into the nitty gritty about this match, I just want to say that eight or more people in a ladder match is insane. Especially with the contestants selected for this Casino Ladder match. There will be bodies flying all over the place and the carnage level will be through the roof. I’m already scared for the death-defying crap Dante Martin and Rey Fenix might attempt.

Answering the question of “Who wins?” revolves around who the mystery participant is. Nobody stands out to me as someone who is getting an AEW title shot. Fenix, Penta, Andrade, and Rush are in a feud right now. Wheeler Yuta and Claudio have belts at this moment. Maybe they should give Dante Martin a shot at the title? I think that whoever is the Joker will probably win. That person is probably a huge star, debuting or returning.

I’m guessing it’s MJF.

I know. It doesn’t make a lot of sense that MJF would scream at Tony Khan and then be awarded a shot at the title. I trust AEW to make it make sense. That’s my Joker pick and the winner of the match.

Joker: MJF

Winner: MJF

Wifey: Dante Martin

Jungle Boy vs. Christian Cage

My feelings on this match have changed multiple times. At first, I thought there was no way that Jungle Boy would beat Christian Cage as this feud continues for awhile. But then I thought that this feud has majorly cooled off and maybe AEW would just end it. The feud turned into on and off awkward promos and backstage interviews that, while still being good, haven’t held that momentum after Christian almost killed Jungle Boy and turned Luchasaurus evil. In all honesty, it was Luchasaurus ‘being on Jungle Boy’s side the whole time’ that lost the momentum for me.

I might be digging my own grave on this one, but I think there’s still something we’re missing. I’m leaning back to my first line of thinking that says this feud will continue. Christian Cage keeps alluding to being an evil mastermind, except he’s not doing anything. I feel like he has something up his sleeve for the PPV and will defeat Jungle Boy in the most evil way he can.

Winner: Christian Cage

Wifey: Jungle Boy

Toni Storm vs. Britt Baker vs. Hikaru Shida vs. Jaime Hayter

Tony Khan has stated that he sees All Out as a refresh of the Women’s division. Not sure what that means in regarding to Thunder Rosa, but in my opinion, a “Refresh” does not mean Britt Baker as champion. I cannot wait for this match, as it could seriously steal the show, but I think putting the title on Britt Baker again would be a mistake. The good Doctor would absolutely see TV time, but I hope whoever wins this match gets dedicated TV time too. Shouldn’t a major wrestling promotion dedicate weekly time for its Champions?!

I think we could see a major story develop in this match. Everyone has been waiting for Jaime Hayter to turn on Britt. I’m guessing it officially happens here. Jaime gets fed up with Britt using others, and their friendship cracks begin.

My heart wants to see Hikaru Shida get a dedicated run with the AEW belt in front of fans, but my brain is telling me not to pick her. She’s holding a Japanese title and probably going back there at some point. I’m going to go with the trendy and chalk pick: Toni Storm gets the belt to set up her match with Thunder Rosa after Thunder gets healthy.

Winner: Toni Storm

Wifey: Toni Storm

Ricky Starks vs. Powerhouse Hobbs

A battle between former friends and Team Taz members that I cannot wait for; Ricky Starks and Powerhouse Hobbs is a match that could steal the show. Honestly, a lot of these matches could win Match of the Night, but this match is high on my most anticipated list.

The only logical pick here is Ricky Starks. He’s on the fast track to super stardom. You cannot stunt that rocket ship by having him lose his first big match after turning babyface. I love Powerhouse Hobbs too, but Ricky Starks needs a big run and story with a title. A good match is finished with Starks hitting the Spear for the victory.

Winner: Ricky Starks

Wifey: Ricky Starks

House of Black vs. Sting, Miro, & Darby Allin

Have you looked at the AEW Roster page lately? Check the record for the Icon. Sting is undefeated in AEW since his return in late 2020. That’s an impressive feat, even with the sporadic matches for the elder statesman. My prediction for this match is that the entire story revolves around Sting. Let me explain.

Sting was sprayed with the Black Mist and has seemed a little unhinged ever since. It’s possible that I’m reading too much into it, but I think Sting might turn on Darby and Miro in this match, leading to a House of Black victory. Want to make House of Black way more popular than they’ve ever been? Attach the Icon to them. It’s also a way for Sting to get his first loss, but make the loss because of him. I also think that Sting and Darby is a little played out, despite how awesome they are together. I’ll take House of Black to upset the mismatched trio.

Winner: House of Black

Wifey: Sting, Darby, and Miro

Trios Final: Elite vs. Dark Order

I could see this coming a mile away after the trios bracket was announced. The Elite and Dark Order were on a collision course for one final time. The Bucks, Omega, Dark Order, and Hangman have one last score to settle now that everyone is happy and back together. This one is the perfect example of a coin flip. I could see it going either way. It’s the perfect build with no obvious ending. I cannot wait for this match.

I’ve gone back and forth with my prediction and probably will change my mind again, but I have to officially predict something. I have “The Elite” written down on my prediction sheet, but something is telling me that Hangman and The Dark Order pull off the upset to capture those Trios Titles. And hopefully everyone ends the night as friends again.

Winner: Dark Order & Hangman Adam Page

Wifey: The Elite

AEW World Championship: Jon Moxley (c) vs. CM Punk

Another match that I’ve gone back and forth on is the main event. AEW has done a wonderful job of selling this feud into a story where I have no idea how it ends. Does Jon Moxley repeat his dominant performance against CM Punk? Is CM Punk winning the title in Chicago to joyous fanfare the inevitable conclusion?

I’m betting the latter. The town of Chicago has been good to AEW, which probably means they’ll see their hometown hero winning the AEW Championship over the guy who destroyed him. It stinks for Jon Moxley because he’s the Wrestler of the Year by a longshot and deserves a long run, but Punk ends All Out with the belt back over his shoulder.

Winner: CM Punk

Wifey: Jon Moxley

Does MJF make an appearance at the end of the show?

And those are my predictions for All Out! What do you think will happen!? Let me know on Twitter!
